My arms are empty and acheing...

I can’t believe I’m a mother without…

Life has been twisted and turned upside down. As a mother, I had both the wonderful privilege of holding my sweet son as I brought him into this world…and the horrible chore of holding him as he took his last breaths and left this world, at only 7 years old. June 24, 2010 he earned his angel wings, passing away after an inspiring but brief fight against Cystic Fibrosis. Now I live, solely focusing on living a life to get to be with him again in heaven, and to raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis research. I am dedicated to a cure, not only for my sweet sons legacy but so that other CF families never experience the greatest loss of their lives that we are now facing. My mother’s arms are missing Connerman, yet he still inspires me daily to leave a mark of LOVE on this world…so for you my sweet prince, mommy will try!

Wordless Wednesday…

  1. Prayin' for and lovin' you guys. Wishing you peace, relief, strength and God's love.

  2. No words needed, at all. Lots of Prayers & Love to you guys <3

  3. I was playing with my son last night wishing he could share his energy and health with Connor.

Hugs to you and your family from the other side of the world.

  4. I check up on y'all every other day or so - wordless is how I felt as I lifted y'all in prayer - and the tears rolled down my face for your sweet boy and the fierce mama's heart I know you have for your son. Dear Lord, please bring comfort...

  5. Sarah....I still want to hug you...hard. I am going to be getting something for you to reminds me of you and the strength you have.

  6. My heart breaks for you. I can't even imagine how you feel. I can only hope some of the meds can relieve his suffering. ♥ ♥ ♥

  7. I don't know you but I check your blog every day to read how you and Conner. I have a 7 year old son also and I can't begin to imagine how hard this must be for you all as a family. I admire your strength and dignity for yourself and Conner and my thoughts are with you all. As someone else has already said, all I hope is that the pain medication is kicking in and Conner's pain has eased. Stay strong, sending big hugs to you all as a family from Scotland.

  8. You're right, there are no words.....Praying for strength for you and your family, and praying for peace for Connor.

Did You Know....

There are over 100,000 people, the size of a small city, on the transplant list in the US.

There were less than 10,000 deceased organ donors in the US last year. (that's a ratio of 1 organ donor to every 10 transplant patients).

In the time it takes you to shower today, 1 new name is added to the US transplant waiting list.

From the time you woke up this morning to the time you wake up tomorrow morning, 18 people will die waiting for their transplant in the US.
